The Blue City – Bundi

On the road again…This time we were travelling by jeep.  Not sure how long it took but our final destination for today was the lovely town of Bundi.    Here we stayed in ANOTHER heritage resort (a old palace).    We went for a walk via some monument (an old town water catchment with lots of steps and intricate carvings), walked through some markets and then checked out the palace/fort on the hill.     The views from the top of the hill were awesome…  You can see why they call this a blue city!

Below are some photos (ok, a lot of photos)… my favs are of the boys giving me flowers (they were persistent) and of the street dentists…. I am not kidding you, they make false teeth on the side of the road – so cool, a bit dodgy – but cool!

Bundi was pretty cool, the kind of place that I could have easily spent a 2nd day just wandering around the village.    But alas, im on a tour…  Its time to move on!
